My first time photographing an eclipse.
|
2017.08.21 - I knew I wanted to see the eclipse. However, I didn't really make any plans. By the time that I was seriously looking at plans - it was too late. In the end I stayed in my own apartment complex in Atlanta. I did have my head about me enough to ensure I got an order of solar film and solar glasses. However I only ordered one. I thought I was getting 2 pieces of solar film (for both cameras) but only got one. So I opted to break the solar glasses (figured there'd be enough coverage on TV to watch it even better than if I watched through solar glasses) for my other camera.
I think I did well, although I'm paranoid about my eyesight. I typically have floaters (beginning cataract - minor now - but forever think I'm seeing no see'ums) - today every time I have one I think that the tiny 1 second mistake looking up could have done something. I'll settle down in a day or two :-)
The smaller photos are with the DSLR - the larger - my favorite canon 50sxHD. More to follow - just wanted to post a couple tonight
